# llimphi-cable > **The pipe between a caged app and its host, on Linux.** W4 settled what crosses the border (`llimphi-wire-escena`), who emits it (`llimphi-jaula`) and who paints it (`llimphi-reproductor`). What was missing to run that same cable between **two Linux processes** — instead of between a `.wasm` app and the kernel — is the transport and the return leg. This is that, and nothing else: it frames, serialises and orders. Length-prefixed frames, scenes going out, measurements and events coming back. `vida` is the process's life cycle (`vida_con_proceso` is its test). --- Part of **llimphi** — see [llimphi](../README.md) and the widget/module catalogue in [`MANUAL.md`](../MANUAL.md).
