foreign-vox

Bridge to the MagicaVoxel .vox format.

It reads and writes voxel models in MagicaVoxel's format (a RIFF-like chunk structure: MAIN → SIZE/XYZI/RGBA) and exposes them as a neutral VoxModel: dimensions + a list of (x, y, z, index) voxels + a 256-colour RGBA palette indexed by the voxel's index.

No dependencies (only std): the format is flat little-endian bytes. It knows nothing about the engine — the converter to VoxelGrid lives in llimphi-voxel (CLAUDE.md rule #4: the foreign thing enters through the bridge, the core works natively).
